We are also training the trainers for schools interested, and their children at this event. We welcome to this event:
1. Brian and Andrew Wagner.
Brian teaches at Ky Country Day here in Louisville. Andrew is his son and a high school senior.
2. Scott and Laney Dillion. Scott teaches at West Vigo Middle School in Terre Haute, Indiana. Laney is his 14-year-old daughter.

We continue Part II on March 14th at 4 PM until 8 PM. For participation, this event is now closed. If interested, we recommend the next TALK and Marwood Rad Science Skateboard Build at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis. This is about a 1.5 hour drive from Louisville, KY. All of any age are welcome. Under 18? Then a parent, or another adult, must participate with you.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in a class to build a mini-cruiser, skateboard, or longboard Saturday March 19 and Sunday, March 20, at the Indiana State Museum (ISM) in Indianapolis from 1:00 to 5:30.

Teaching the class will be Master Skateboard Builder, Brian La Vallee who is a Technology and Art teacher at Lake Placid Middle High School in New York. Brian will demonstrate a “hot knife” method for making foam molds that he has used for years in his skateboard building classes at the High School. Assisting will be Al Huls, veteran store manager of Woodcraft in Indianapolis, and Jim Martin President of Marwood, Inc. in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Each participant will build a “skateboard” deck that they design and build.

The cost of the class to make your own “boards” is $135 for a Mini Cruiser, $150 for a Skateboard, or $170 for a Longboard. If you are under the age of 18, your parent must attend, but at no cost. All supplies, including trucks & bearings, are included in the fee.
